Reflection

Having to do my internship in Intercontinental Kuala Lumpur for the period of 10 weeks had given me a broader vision of the working industry inside a 5-Star Hotel. Although i only was able to participate in 2 different department, I was able to observe as to how other department were to operate based on a 5-Star hotel. My time here has develop further interest about my future career.

I can say that i have greatly improve my Communication skills by spending my time in the Club Lounge. Whereby, we are needed to professionally handle guest's request. Communication among team members is very important as to maintain a good relationship and also to avoid misunderstanding or miscommunication. I have also learnt to multi-task more as i were given multiple task to complete and was able to handle multiple task at the same time. Spending my time in Reservation department has also taught me to be more fast, efficient and accurate when it comes to handling reservations. I was also able to improve my technological skills due to the complexity of the system.

My experiences and skills gain are valuable in molding me to become a more skillful person in terms of managerial skill and also practical skill.
